FULL VIEW PLEASE
Ophanim, better known as Wheels or Thrones are the lowest choir of angels in the first sphere. There are said to be wheels with in wheels made of wings, glowing with light and rimed with hundreds of eyes. God's throne is said to sit upon them.
I have always found the hierarchy of angels and devils interesting and became reminded of this after watching dogma and then Constantine. The first sphere (which is the highest) I thought was the coolest. So decided to draw them.
If you look carefully at the picture you can see the numerous eyes and wings I tried to but in. I must have spend 5 or 6 hours doing this. The information on them was the most varied of all the angels even down to what they were called, so if I didn't get something quite right - sorry.
I do really like that you can see the middle eastern influence on the way this angel is said to look. If anybody wants I can turn this sideways and make it available as a wallpaper.
Right now I'm only doing the Christian hierarchy of angels.

you did a nice job with this one. i too have a interest in angelology and demonology. there are even more orders and levels than most people think.
